To maintain a secure and respectful workspace, we follow a strict dash\u2011cam and in\u2011vehicle recording device policy for all vehicles booked into our workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why This Policy Exists<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dash cams can record audio and video inside the workshop, which may compromise staff privacy, customer confidentiality, and the security of our operational processes. To ensure a safe and compliant environment, recording inside the workshop is not permitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Our Dash Cam Procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All dash cams and in\u2011vehicle recording devices will be\u00a0<strong>switched off, covered, or disconnected<\/strong>\u00a0during inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LR Auto Workshop &amp; Service Centre provides suitable covers where needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Devices are only uncovered or reconnected\u00a0<strong>after all work is completed<\/strong>\u00a0and the vehicle is ready for collection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This procedure is a&nbsp;<strong>standard condition of service<\/strong>&nbsp;for all bookings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Customer Acknowledgement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By leaving your vehicle with us, you acknowledge and accept that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dash cams will be disabled or covered while your vehicle is in our care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LR Auto Workshop &amp; Service Centre is\u00a0<strong>not liable<\/strong>\u00a0for loss of footage, data corruption, or device malfunction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any footage recorded inside the workshop \u2014 whether intentional or accidental \u2014 may\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0be used, shared, or published without our\u00a0<strong>written consent<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Refusal of Service<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LR Auto Workshop &amp; Service Centre reserves the right to&nbsp;<strong>decline service<\/strong>&nbsp;if a customer does not agree to the dash cam being disabled or covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Policy Enforcement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All LR Auto Workshop &amp; Service Centre staff are trained on this policy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customers who violate this policy may be refused future service.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The policy is reviewed annually to ensure alignment with South African privacy expectations and industry best practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LR Auto Workshop &amp; Service Centre \u2013 Dash Cam Privacy Policy At&nbsp;LR Auto Workshop &amp; Service Centre, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our staff, customers, and workshop environment.
